A look Inside This Vintage Charmer
Our friends Randall and Molly call Merion Village their home, having recently bought a fabulous vintage charmer with tons of character. They are a fun loving, active couple who enjoy spending time with their pup Skip, soaking up the perks of city living, and entertaining their friends and family. What do they love about their new home? Think 12 foot ceilings, seriously cool antique lighting fixtures, exposed brick, ornate trim, spacious rooms, and a killer communal space perfect for sipping a glass of wine and watching the sun set.
Choosing Merion Village was easy — Molly spent some extended time in Germany during college and shortly after, and fell in love with the aesthetic and style of homes there. She wanted to find a place that embodied the character of the community she experienced overseas. The brick roads, historical homes, and good food drew her to the neighborhood.
There’s tons of history in a home like this, so Randall and Molly wanted to decorate with the character of the space in mind. They’ve had fun finding interesting and historic pieces to fill their home by digging into their family’s basements and attics, and stopping at a few yard sales to find some hidden gems.
Also, since Molly is a gal of many talents, she has used her knack for painting to create art to display throughout the home (and it’s pretty darn amazing.)
A community like Merion Village boasts so much potential, and Randall and Molly are excited to be a part of the growth and opportunities that are yet to come. For now, they (and Skip) are enjoying their slice of paradise!
